TEAM TOMMY
Tommy was battling since the day he was born, it was literally his fight against a killer called ‘NEUROBLASTOMA’.
Initially his doctor forever confirmed his illness was nothing more that ‘growing up’ yet Tommy was inwardly batting a disease, a battle he could never win.
When you watch your loved child, forever sick, screaming, shouting, crying, pleading desperately for help, despite the fact he cannot speak, you can do little but hope and pray, until you realise that just isn’t enough.
Unknown to his parents they had picked the wrong doctor, she happened to hate children, it happens sometimes.
His parents would never give up on him, they eventually found someone who could help, yet despite some hope Tommy could not avoid an early death sentence.
But could he?
Tommy’s mum and dad knew now they would try anything in the world to give their little boy some form of life, to do that they knew they had to try harder, move outside their conventions, ignore the law, and eventually find somewhere in the world Tommy would be given a chance.
Because it was so unfair that their poor little lad never had a happy day.
This is a story that travels to many places, and also one of desperation, fear, sadness, and at times such happiness which forever tried to shine out the bad.
Even though I am the author this story still brings tears to my eyes!
