My new book is set in the very last years of this century. The Earth is hugely overpopulated with over 23 billion, quality of life is low and deteriorating every day, food is in chronically short supply, the health systems are crumbling.
Housing is almost impossible to get except for the wealthy, huge shoddily built high rises with tiny units are constantly shooting up, tent cities have become a forever home to many.
There’s a belief that much is due to keeping millions of older people merely alive, many doing nothing more than existing within pointless and wasteful lifestyles. Others are known to still be working very late into life, thereby denying younger people an opportunity they should deserve.
Yet surely everyone has the right to live, after all, seemingly we all have only one life don’t we?
Climate change has been devastating the planet, cyclones are now rated up to a Cat 9 and are a year round constant, lands have been lost, seas and oceans are virtually devoid of life.
Nuclear war is once again inching closer, and there is one man, at the end of his life, who is determined to make this happen, many other countries are itching to follow. There’s a feeling Armageddon is inching closer.
There’s now a New World Government, they have all the resources, and the will, to attempt to turn the planet around because now there is very little future left.
Suddenly hope re-appears, because something beyond belief began to happen.
This could well be the ultimate answer to not only improving life on earth, but also saving it.

Little Tommy was in trouble from the day he was born. Wrong diagnoses from his child hating GP, continuing troubles, wracked with seizures, Tommy constantly cried and seldom slept. Deep inside he was begging for help, and never experienced a ‘happy day.’
Finally his doctor was dumped, his father discovered a reliable paediatrician.
Firstly he was diagnosed with Meningitis, he managed to beat it. For a while he appeared to be going better, could he have a future?
Then he began to go downhill, this time it was different.
He was given the worst of prognoses,
Neoroblastoma Stage 4.
Tommy had only a short time to live, and would be dead before his fifth birthday, nothing could be done for him in Australia.
His mother Jean was now a full time stay at home mum, Harry worked in a money grabbing finance company which made huge profits by whatever means they could.
Harry and Jean refused to accept Tommy’s projected fate, they would never let him go, and would fight until their last breath to find something that would give Tommy a future.
No matter the cost, or barriers, they would make it happen.
The challenge was to find somewhere in the world there was a saviour, and if they found one, they would get the money somehow, and go anywhere to try and save their little boy.
It should never happen, that you have to go to your child’s funeral.
This is a gripping story which pushes past ethics, demands sacrifices, and breaks past barriers in an attempt to succeed.
It’s also sad, and guaranteed to produce tears

Jimmy had a belief, he wanted to be wealthy, and was nine when he had his first gang, always using others to carry out his wishes.
Skipping university, he set out to pursue his dream, to become a millionaire before he was thirty. Loving the idea of Real Estate he wanted to become a landlord, getting others to pay off your mortgages, whilst maximising the generous tax breaks.
Rent increases became his joy, if you pay you stay, otherwise you can hit the streets. Jimmy became to believe he was the quintessential LANDLORD, until one day, he finally realised, what he truly had become.
This is a novel about these times, the many greedy Landlords on the bandwagon, stinging tenants for ridiculous high rentals, often pushing those that cannot afford to pay the rent out to battle against the hundreds of others trying valiantly to get a roof over their heads.
A shop doorway now can be seen a desirable abode!
If you travel through Australia, and look hard enough, you will see people living in tents, cars, parks, and anywhere they may feel safe, and believe it or not this is really Australia, once known as ‘The Lucky Country.’
There are many reasons expostulated, who knows how many are true. But one thing that most of us know is how landlords have increased prices wherever and whenever they can.
They often spout about their mortgage costs going up, but why should this be a burden put onto the renters who get no advantage apart from having a forever temporary roof over their heads, and when they walk away they own nothing.
Someone I know, who’s been renting the same property for over twelve years, has suddenly been hit for a 25% increase in their rent, it’s fairly certain the owner doesn’t have a mortgage as they had the property handed down to them.
There must be thousands of examples the same.
